PRIMARY
TGSB believes that primary program for children must have a curriculum that interests them, which are expressed clearly in common symbols, which give them the opportunity to use their reasoning, exploratory and creative mental functions. The curriculum is architectured so that students can connect with nature and chase adventure. It’s their time for fun, laughter, exploration, and inquiry, while building relationships, expressing creativity, and getting dirty!
The Programme is built on QUEST curriculum principles which envisage a particular relationship between the acquisition of knowledge and the development of concepts and skills
TGSB BELIEVES IN THE FOLLOWING EFFECTIVE COMPONENTS FOR A HIGH-QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS:

We offer the hope and vision to build a high-quality, sustainable early childhood education program for all our children. We don’t settle for nothing less than a comprehensive program that meets the unique needs of the whole child.
Every Child, Every Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRE-PRIMARY
An empty refrigerator box becomes a spaceship. A piece of cloth becomes the shawl of an Arabian princess. A group of blocks becomes a horde of prehistoric animals in a jungle….yes you read it right!!
At TGSB, these little ones embarking on their learning journey get wings to their imagination and creativity. The entire set-up of the kindergarten environment is in the form of play because we believe that virtually every significant contribution to culture originally stemmed from a playful act that had its seeds in childhood and hence this extraordinary feature of play, coupled with its social, emotional, physical, and cognitive benefits, makes the early childhood education curriculum at TGSB unique and child centric.
One of the most important ways children learn about the concepts is through experience and touching, which often happens when they play. Play, in addition to being a natural activity for young children, helps them learn social skills, promotes their emotional development, and allows them to exercise their creativity. The Pre-Primary program is developmentally designed and appropriate to the extent that it values multisensory and hands-on learning, natural environments (e.g., lofts, gardens, plants, the arts, animals), and a child-centered approach to learning. The fundamental curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation for Social, Emotional, and Intellectual Growth.
Middle School
Collaborative Planning: Integrating curricula across subjects
TGSB Middle School collaborates on projects across subjects to make learning relevant, connected, and engaging. The middle school program (Grade 5-7) gives students a choice while maintaining a firm grounding in foundational subjects. Students are able to choose their own arts, PE, and Language courses, empowering, supporting, and challenging them to take control of their own learning program.
Throughout the middle school years, we focus on developing students’ critical thinking skills – to question, challenge, and seek to discover answers and solutions for themselves. The program is structured and delivered in order to enable the students to become independent thinkers, to work with friends and peers, and to discover rather than to be told. This truly unique and progressive program retains an absolute focus on the social and emotional development of children at this exciting and important age and stage.
Classrooms are backed with Project-based learning and Problem-Based Learning in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge. Discussions in classrooms often dazzle with stories of fanciful robots, exotic materials, and whimsical ideas for cross-disciplinary projects. These impressive discussions on projects such as Aquaponics and Hydroponics System, vermicompost, Biofiltration System showcase the amazing things students can do and create.
Middle School Maker Journey: Review, Rethink, and Retool
Let the change-makers take the charge……

Sustainable School in Bangalore
More and more, schools are going green — in the topics, they’re covering in their curriculum, as well as in the construction and remodeling of the schools themselves. Green buildings have multiple advantages: lower energy costs and a smaller carbon footprint — plus, they create living-learning environments that educate students to be more Earth-conscious. The Green School Bangalore is the only green school in Varthur- Whitefield with the vision of creating green leaders – the change-makers. The school focuses on green awareness for students and staff with programs, resources, and events to promote healthier food and nutrition, indoor air quality, and the 3Rs: reducing, reusing, and recycling. A source of green curriculum, TGSB is dedicated, to the “implementation of environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient systems and practices in K-12 schools.”
A Green Machine- TGSB
The TGSB School’s design screams green throughout, from its use of natural light and air circulation inside to its landscaping and the way it recaptures rainwater outside. In essence, the building itself serves as a teaching tool to educate kids about recycling, conservation, and sustainability. Green, too, are the materials used in the building, which were chosen to reduce contaminants and indoor pollution and lessen environmental impact. This material’s natural finish doesn’t need painting and requires little upkeep. Many of the building’s features also conserve energy, from a lighting system with sensors that allow for maximizing the use of natural light to low-flow dual-flush toilets that conserve water. Funneling water into underground holding tanks allows it to eventually percolate into the soil and remain on site. Such scientific tidbits offer valuable lessons about the local water cycle for our students.
For TGSB students, the very building they occupy holds these lessons and many more about how to respect their environment.
Green Quest and Curriculum:
The objective of the Green Curriculum is to help our young students learn from nature. The program is offered to students across all grades and is spread over the academic year. Lesson plans and activities deal with planting, sowing, growing, and harvesting. Understanding layers and composition of soils, preparing organic compost, and careful use of pesticides are a part of the course. Students are provided the opportunity to use natural products in culinary projects such as the jam and pickle making sessions.
The Green Curriculum encourages a greater understanding of the environment and ecological issues. Students are encouraged to practice what they learn by creating their own growing and farm spaces. Skills such as observation, recording of hands-on research, and report writing are ways in which the Green Curriculum helps develop cognitive areas of learning.

People talk of scores in the exam attained through IQ. TGSB learning ecosystem talks of 5Qs-intellectual quotient+emotional quotient+social quotient+creative quotient+adversity quotient=life's holistic quotient, the quantifier which can be improved anytime through life skills

Students in schools learn books, but what is the point of cramming pages if you do not inculcate transferable skills? Transferable skills- the most precious assets for a child to manage life by inculcating life's lessons

WHY TGSB?
The first Green School has launched its elementary wing in KOTUR, in the heart of Whitefield Bangalore on lines of the green school concept, Bali. The school teaches all about parallel fuels and green teaching is part of the curriculum. Kids work in organic farms and composite the waste. It’s a zero-waste, zero energy, and a zero-carbon school. Kids learn how to segregate waste with the intention of Reuse, Reject, and Refuse. A school with green breathing walls to keep enough oxygen supply.
TGSB offers an integrated curriculum with the fundamentals of ICSE/IGCSE/PYP. The curriculum, teaching methodology, and formative assessments strictly follow the schedules, timeline, and pattern prescribed by ICSE. In addition to regular academic courses, the program is designed to help students to achieve academic excellence in a competitive environment. Well-equipped labs ensure that the students get adequate practical exposure in each subject.
The school facilitates students to prepare for competitive and qualifying examinations such as ASSET, Spell Bee, Science Olympiads and Maths Olympiads. Subject Enrichment programs are offered with Mind Spark digital tool in collaboration with Educational Initiative, an Ed-Tech Solution company. Mindspark is a computer-based online self-learning tool that enhances children’s understanding of Maths. It adapts to each student’s individual learning pace in sync with the school curriculum and provides instant feedback that clears incorrect understanding.
Students are groomed to embrace a global perspective and are imparted with knowledge combined with values, preparing them to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Here at TGSB, we are a believer that every child should be an excellent all-rounder, but every child should excel in a defined area or activity. A wide range of enrichment programs in sports, music, visual, and performing arts is an inherent part of the regular teaching methodology. The students can identify their areas of strength and trail an academic program that is best suited to their capability, inclination and is in alignment with their long-term objectives.
